Insung Lee (b.1982) studied at Chosun University College of Art and Graduate School. It captures the images of life viewed by individuals in various ways, mainly when confronted with phenomena, hidden meanings or ironic elements become the material, which is then reconstructed and expressed through metaphorical and symbolic methods. Painting, which is currently the main method of expression, focuses on approaching an object as a read painting that interprets the content rather than an expression method, and faces through the meaning that arises from the relationship between the orange dot as an element that appears frequently in the screen and the screen being read. It reminds and interprets the invisible elements in his life, and at the same time captures the image of life that the artist faces.

  Based in Gwangju and Jeonnam, he participated in domestic and overseas solo and group exhibitions based on <Gwangju City Yangsan-dong Creative Studio>, <Gwangju City Beijing Creative Studio> and the alternative space <Miteugro Residency> (China, Taiwan). , Japan, Philippines, Thailand) and won Chosun University Artist of the Year Award (2020), Gwangju Art Award (2019), Ha Jung-woong Young Artist Award (2017), and Gwangju Shinsegae Art Festival Grand Prize (2016). 2021), Seoul, and Paju, such as Gwangju and Jeonnam, are taking exhibition opportunities and expanding their activities.

<작업노트>
