BYEN,UNG-PIL born in 1970 in Jangheung, South Korea, majored in Fine Art at Dongguk Univ. Seoul. After his B.A., He did his M.A. in Fine Art at Kunstakademie Muenster. Germany, and awarded as Master Student from professor Guillaume Bijl in 2005. After his coming back to Seoul, Byeon participated as a member of artist residency held by Seoul Civic Art Museum, and now he keeps his artist career at Ganghwa island near Seoul since 2010. He participated in 16 solo exhibitions and several group exhibitions in Germany and Korea both. His artwork series consist of “Self-portrait” series where he deformed his own self portraits and depicted it in abnormal form and “Someone” series where he depicted a random person by using lines and colors. His artworks are collected by art bank at Korean National Museum of Contemporary Arts, Seoul Civic Art Museum, OCI Art Museum, and Supreme court of NRW, Germany.
변웅필은 1970년 한국 장흥에서 태어나 서울 동국대학교에서 서양화를 전공(학사)했다. 졸업후 독일 뮌스터 쿤스트아카데미(Kunstakademie Muenster. Germany)에서 순수미술로 석사 학위를 받고 professor Guillaume Bijl로부터 Master student를 수여받았다(2005). 2006년 한국으로 돌아와 서울 시립미술관에서 주관하는 레지던시에 참여했고 10년 전부터 서울 근교의 작은 섬 강화도에서 전업작가로 활동중이다. 독일과 한국에서 총 16회의 개인전과 다수의 그룹전, 아트페어에 참여했다. 그의 작업은 크게 자신의 얼굴을 일그러트려 불특정한 모습으로 표현한 자화상(Selfpotrait) 시리즈와 불특정한 인물을 선과 색면으로 표현한 한 사람(Someone) 시리즈로 대표된다. 그의 작품은 국립현대미술관 미술은행과 서울시립미술관, OCI미술관, Supreme court of NRW, Germany 등에 소장됐다.

추상회화 작가. 정현태는 14년도에 한성대 회화과를 졸업 하였으며 15년 《아시아현대미술청년작가전》에서 수상을 시작으로 첫 개인전《Shatter's song》(2016)을 하였다. 이후 꾸준한 전시을 통해 평면회화에 대한 꾸준한 발상을 성장시켜 왔으며 작품 속 내재된 세상속 존재간의 관계의 의미에 대해 항상 고민하였다. 여러 회화기법을 적용시킴을 통해 발전된 조형언어로 작품을 변화시켜왔다. 이후 개인전 《Boundary Talk》전시(2021) 에서 붓자국 형태에 색을 입히는 표현방법으로 의미에 대한 해석을 작품에 담았으며, 시각적인 즐거움을 주고자 동양의 전통 화론에 등장하는 화면구성을 기반으로 작품을 완성하였다. 그는 새로운 조형적 구성언어를 탐구하고 활용하여 평면회화가 주는 즐거움을 담은 작품을 제작하는데 힘쓰고 있다. 세련된 색감과 특유의 세밀한 붓터치, 정적이면서도 움직임이 넘치는 화면 구성으로 최근 국내외에서 주목받는 작가로 성장하고 있다.
Jung Hyun-tae is an abstract artist. He graduated from the Department of Painting at Hansung University in 2014. In 2015, he won the award at the "Asia Contemporary Art of Youth Artists’ And held a first solo exhibition "Shatter's Song" in 2016. Since then, he has developed the idea of painting through many exhibitions. He has always thought about the meaning of the work, and has changed it into a visual language developed through various painting techniques.In the solo exhibition "Boundary Talk" (2021) a method of coloring the shape of the brushstrokes, which is an interpretation of the meaning of a people's relationship. For visual enjoyment, the work was completed based on the traditional oriental painting style. His delicate brush strokes and sensuous color make many people feel comfortable. He explored and utilized a new visual language to create planar paintings.
